I thought the food was delicious. It was my first time in a Moroccan restaurant so I don't really have anything to compare it to. I ordered the couscous with chicken. It was very, very good. The appetizer was okay. We ordered the beef cigars. It was ground beef mixed with some spices (including cinnamon) and wrapped in a phyllo dough (I think) but it had powdered sugar sprinkled on it. The beef was dry and the sugar was weird. My bf ordered the mixed grill. The beef was cooked a little more than he liked but it was shish kabob so it's not like they asked him how he liked it cooked. Overall I liked it a lot. I would go there again...even though it had a funky smell.

My first Moroccan experience was a pleasure. My wife's been here before and highly recommended it. The night we went they didn't have belly dancers. In fact, my cousins and I were the only ones there! So of course we got good service and great recommendations. Food is served family style and eaten with your hands. I'll definitely be heading back on either a Friday or Saturday night to get the entire Moroccan experience. I love the ambience too and the lounge style seating.

A great time and great food! Highly recommend on all fronts, never mind that its in a strip mall, you'll quickly forget that.
Go for the later sitting, so you wont be rushed out. Great with friends for something 'different'.

BYOB, bring lots of wine to relax with, enjoy the show and the food.

I actually really like eating here! Nice ambience, good food.
When I went here for the first time, we passed the place up. It's hidden in a strip mall. I felt like I was magically transported to Morocco when I walked in the door, the decor kicks ass. My friends and I ordered a sampler, and everything was amazing. This was three years ago, and I still remember how delicious everything was.
I don't live in the area anymore, but I will definitely go back next time I have the opportunity.

There is nothing I don't love about this restaurant. The lush decor resembles an exotic opium palace (in the middle of NJ...hmm), the music is so contagious that people are continually compelled to get up and dance, even in the midst of their meals, and the bellydancers are a fun and entertaining addition to the evening. The Moroccan food is always good...we normally get samplers of almost everything on the menu, and the portions are large enough that even large groups of 20 or so are satisfied.
Two things to note: It's often a good idea to make reservations ahead of time, and the restaurant is a BYOB.

If you're in the mood for Moroccan, this place will do the job. It's a fun place to go with a group of people, if they all enjoy eating with their fingers. Fun platters of tasty food brought out to share, while you sit on cushioned benches in a fairly open-air large room.
There's nothing especially exotic about the food, but it's fun to eat there. The live entertainment is an unusual treat, too.

The belly dancer was pretty cool and the service was great, but I wasn't really impressed with the food. I guess I didn't really know what to expect since I had never been to a Moroccan Restaurant, but I could have made all that stuff myself at home. It wasn't very exotic. Your basic chicken and rice dishes.
